- D-Link DIR-655 Wifi Router for $60 with code EMCXSWV56 . Far from being the best router on the market, but it has good wifi range, and is one of the better units we have used. That being said, we did have one go bad after 2 years. Lots of people love this router. It has a Ubicom chipset, so it will not be compatible with DD-WRT or other third-party firmware.
- refurbished D-Link DGL-4500 Wifi Router for $40 with code RENET20 . Beware it is refurbished (not new) and includes only a 90-day warranty. It has a selectable 2.4GHz or 5GHz frequency setting to help pick a signal less crowded with other nearby signals. When our DIR-655 broke, we replaced it with a DGL-4500 and had no problems since.
- Rosewill Gaming Mouse Pad for $8. At 13.7 inches wide and 10.2 inches in height, it is larger than regular mouse pads. Its surface is the soft kind which many people prefer over the smooth kind.
