- Seagate 750GB Serial-ATA Hard Drive for $100 with promo code HD72220 . Has a very nice 5 year warranty, but Seagate drives operate louder other drives when undergoing heavy usage. That comes to $0.133 per GB, a great deal.
- Samsung 750GB Serial-ATA Hard Drive for $100 with promo code HD702220 . That also comes to $0.133 per GB, a great deal. Has double the cache size as the Seagate, and may perform slightly better.
Codes are each limited to one use per account.

Update (12pm EDT): If you intend to use drives like these for removable storage rather than inside a computer, like with a BlacX docking station, it may be a good idea to pick up some anti-static bags. Newegg's drives do come in a factory sealed anti-static bag, but are not re-sealable. There are some nicer bags available with zip-loc tops. StaticBags.com sells a 50-pack of 6x8 Zip-Loc Top Anti-Static Bags for $8.45 plus $4.75 shipping ($13.20) through their website and through Ebay. We found their bags very handy for safekeeping removable hard drives, and that store has superb reviews on Ebay. Although these bags provide no cushion protection from violent impacts.

ZipZoomFly.com - D-Link Cablemodem for $32 after rebate

A great deal on one of the best cable modems on the market. Price is $44 plus about $8 shipping ($52), and a $20 mail-in rebate is available. It is not compatible with Comcast's "Powerboost" feature, but works really well on other cable networks. Most cable companies provide their cable modem, or you can use your own (like this one) and avoid renting their cheap cable modem.

After this cable modem was recommended by a couple cable technicians and online reviewers, we paired it with 20 megabit service and a D-Link DGL-4100 Router, and consistently achieved 20 megabit download speeds without any problems. The D-Link DGL-4100 Router is available for $74 after rebate and coupon code ROUTER7146 at Newegg, or at ZipZoomFly for about the same cost if ordered with the cable modem.

Update (7/19): Price on the cablemodem raised $3, to $47 plus $8 shipping ($55), and the $20 rebate is still available ($35 after rebate).

There are some really great deals today at Newegg, some of which may sell out early this morning.

Monitors:
- Sceptre 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor for $190 with promo code EMCAHBFAD . Finding a 22" monitor priced under $200 is rare these days, and this deal may sell out quickly.
Printers:
- Brother MFC-465CN Printer/Scanner/Fax for $70. Every other store sells it for over $100, and this deal will likely sell out sometime today.
- Samsung CLP-300 Color Laser Printer for $230 with promo code EMCAHBFBC and a $150 mail-in rebate is available. Paying $80 for a color laser printer is a very good deal (if you remember to mail in the rebate), however keep in mind replacing the color toner cartridges can cost as much as the printer itself (about $74), and this printer only provides about 1,000 color pages per refill. The laser gives good quality as mentioned in the product reviews on Newegg, but keep in mind color inkjet printers are more economically friendly.
Hard Drives

- Western Digital WD6400AAKS 640GB Serial-ATA Hard Drive for $90. At a cost of $0.14 per GB, this is one of the best deals around for one of the best hard drives on the market. It is one of the quietest, coolest operating, best performing hard drives priced under $100 with hundreds of positive reviews on Newegg.
DVD and Blu-Ray Drives
- Lite-On Blu-Ray Reader Drive for $110 with promo code EMCAHBFCB
- Samsung USB External DVD Burner for $55. A great deal for a USB based DVD burner.
- DVD Burners for $25 to $35
Networking
- Linksys 8-Port Gigabit Ethernet Switch for $40 with coupon EMCAHBFDA . Used for wired networking computers in a room without having to buy a second router or wireless cards.
- D-Link DGL-4100 Gigabit Router for $94 with promo code ROUTER7146 and a $20 mail-in rebate is available ($74 after rebate). No wireless capability, but if Internet performance is of utmost importance, especially if you pay for a fast 10-megabit or 20-megabit Internet connection, this is one of the best routers available in the sub-$100 price point. We tested one of these on a 20-megabit cablemodem connection, and consistently achieved 20-megabit speeds. A $45 Linksys router fluctuated between 8 and 18 megabits with the same downloads.
Electronics and peripherals
- Up-Convert 1080p DVD Player for $60 with promo code EMCAHBFAC . Other stores sell it refurbished for more.
- Rosewill USB Mouse for $5 with free shipping code EMCAHBFBE
- Antec True Power Trio 650-Watt PC Power Supply for $60 after promo code EMCAHBFCH . A 650-Watt PSU with good reviews is very rare to find at $60 without any rebate requirements. Update: Sold out.
Laptops:
- HP Pavilion DV6755US 15" Laptop Computer for $666 after coupon EMCAHBFBA and shipping fee, and a $50 mail-in rebate is available ($616 after rebate). Pretty good specs for the price: Core 2 Duo T5450, 2GB memory, 250GB hard drive, DVD Burner, webcam, 6-cell battery. Other stores sell it for around $1000.

Back again is a D-Link DGS-2208 Gigabit Ethernet Switch is back at $45 with free shipping, and a $10 mail-in rebate is available. This is a great deal, since D-Link makes good quality networking products, and this one has very good specs and good reviews on Newegg. It connects up to 8 wired network devices and/or computers supporting 10, 100 and 1000 megabit speeds. It supports auto MDI-X, meaning any of its 8 ports can be used to uplink to another Switch or router.
