Sennheiser CX500 Noise Isolating Headphones is outrageously expensive at $130 plus $7 shipping, same price most other stores sell it for. Newegg coupon code SENNHEISER71060 gives $60 off, making it $77 after coupon & shipping. Even still, $77 is very expensive for in-ear headphones, but several reviews on Newegg (CX500W and CX500B Reviews, same headphones different color) are pretty good, CDRInfo says they are one of the best sounding in-ear headphones on the market and worth the price, and one review on CNet says they are a good value. However a video review on InfosyncWorld says they are very good, but not great, and a few people complained about the cord being a little too short.

It does not have battery operated noise cancelling feature that some less expensive headphones have, but they isolate the sound so well, noise-cancelling is not a feature needed on these. Since they are very bulky, these headphones are designed for use mainly while sitting, definitely not while walking. They do work very well on airplanes and busses, if you have a bag to store them in. They can fit inside a laptop bag or carry-on bag (folded flat or tucked), and they comfortably isolate sound better than most other headphones we tried on a plane.
