A new Western Digital Portable 1TB Hard Drive for $199 with free shipping, and includes a free $25 B&H Gift Card. This drive powers itself through its USB data cable, and like other small/portable drives, does not need a separate power cable.

Like most portable drives, this transfers data at about 20 MBytes/sec, meaning it could take 13 hours to fill all 1 TB of space on the disk. However a few things separate this new drive from other Western Digital portable drives. It uses a new USB to USB-Micro connection (one included), different than the standard USB to USB-Mini found on other devices, but extras can be purchased separately if needed. Secondly, it apparently includes software which can be removed if you know about disk partitioning and formatting, but can be a pain for those who have to deal with the software coming up when connecting the drive to computers.
