| Details: | Online Fax Service for $4/mo (repost) Having a standaline fax machine or an All-In-One Printer with Fax is convenient for sending faxes from home, however receiving faxes without a dedicated phone line is inconvenient and paying for a dedicated fax line is expensive. At $4 per month, Packetel is a pretty nice service which provides a personal local phone number for receiving faxes through email. To see a list of local area codes available, click here. Their online interface is very basic and only lets you change delivery email addresses, delivery type (PDF or TIFF), and billing information. For someone who needs a very simple way to receive faxes with a personal phone number, this is a very good deal. Packetel cannot send any faxes through their service, but not an issue for many people since fax machines are so cheap these days. You must pre-pay $12 for every 3 months ($4 total monthly cost), and no contract so you can cancel anytime. |
