Details:Google Chromecast vs Amazon Fire TV vs Roku:
Our own comparison of Chromecast, Amazon Fire TV, and Roku streaming media TV add-on devices. Our favorite is the Chromecast because its "cast" button is available on any laptop's Chrome web browser, and inside many iOS and Android apps, including YouTube, YouTube TV, Playstation Vue, CBS, HBO Now, Netflix, Slacker Radio, Google Play Music, Plex, Spotify, etc. Anyone in your home can use their laptop, tablet, or smartphone to "cast" music and video to a TV. Plus, Google Home owners can control their Chromecast with voice commands.

Holiday deals on the Chromecast: Holiday deals on the Fire TV: Roku is the cheapest 4K streamer, has a remote with a built-in headphone jack, voice controls from the remote, and works without having to pull out your tablet, smartphone, or laptop: One thing to keep in mind. The Internet is about to change. Net Neutrality, the rule that protects businesses and small media from being slowed or blocked by competing telecom corporation interests, is expected to be lifted by federal officials in December. The new rules go further than simply removing consumer protections, they allow telecom companies to pick favorites. This giveaway to cable monopolies and media giants will allow Verizon, Comcast, Spectrum, Cox, and AT&T to charge premiums or block users' access to competing streaming video services like YouTube, YouTube TV, NetFlix, Sling TV, Playstation Vue, Hulu, Vudu, DirecTV Now, and Amazon Instant Video. These services will eventually be forced to raise their rates or face blockage by the telecom companies. Smaller media providers, startups, and viral video producers without significant cash will probably be forced out of business, limiting the innovative content available on your streaming media player.
