Plug the OBi200 into a home phone (or cordless phone) and your Internet router to get free home telephone service through Google Voice. Over the Internet, you can make and receive unlimited phone calls within the US and Canada. Note that old OBi 100-series adapters will stop working as Google Voice upgrades their service. Anyone with an old OBi-100 or OBi-110 will no longer be able to use Google Voice, but this OBi200 (and other 200-series) will continue to work. Beware that 911 emergency service does not work with Google Voice. Obihai does have an Anveo E911 option for $18/yr that does route 911, something which we added to our OBi202 for the piece of mind that emergency calls will work on our home phone.
