TCL - 55" Class - LED - 4 Series - 2160p - Smart - 4K UHD TV with HDR Roku TV

The average TV owner like me I think just wants their purchase to work, work meaning a good/vivid picture, working sound. No pixelly looking newscasts, no static, no garbled voices. In this day and age such a bad TV probably doesn't even exist without a fluke. The only other wish is for longevity and I cant speak to that yet. This TV is as I imagined, big and shiny, I have only one issue with it. I hate to call it a complaint. If you're like me and just wanted a TV and aren't super into every new tech advance, be advised your old stereo/speaker may not be compatible. I made an assumption and alas my TV is now too smart for my speakers.

I love this tv! For the price you can't beat the color or quality. I already have roku I've used for years, so this is a no brainer for me. Easy to set up and looks great on my wall! The size, while not huge, fits right into the spot i had. I've got it hooked up to my vintage stereo, dvd player and video game system.

The clarity and graphics is great, especially when showing animation. I had lg 55 inch. It looked like 55in but this surpasses me. The sound is great. But notice that volume is turned up a little higher than normally. Made adjustments on volume. No problem with volume. While looking at the football game, i was able to go into setting to change to hdr. This was awesome tv is wide but light. I thought it was a 70inch compared to brothers tv. Son was excited and now he wants one. I never thought i would like roku but I LOVE IT! its amazing jow many apps for children to look at. You dont need firestick because this tv has it all. I have 3 roku tvs but i love how big the 55in is. I plan on buying family some for Xmas. Also go to settings and stream channels. Pick apps. On the money apps, they have free movies you can still look at if you dont subscribe. If you dont see free at the too, Just Put FREE MOVIES in search bar. No buffering just great movies categorize on all type

I haveTCL 55 C series and honestly it’s almost as good as my LG OLED 55”. My 60” Pioneer Kuro still my favorite but the TCL best bang for the buck and it has the Roku TV built in which is awesome!

I was looking for two 55 inch TVs for my basement, and the TCL fit all the criteria. I’ve been a long time LG fan, but the TLC picture is as good as my LGs, so I would definitely buy another TLC for the price.

This is the second and last TCL Smart TV we will be buying. The first one we bought was around 3 years ago during a Black Friday sale at Walmart. It worked great for about 4 months and then the speakers didn't seem to be as loud as when first used. We average around 5-6 hours of the TV being on during the evening and over the next year nothing else seemed to be an issue until one day the screen flickered and went black. We had sound but no picture. We conveniently had just passed the warranty period with the manufacturer, so we decided to bite the bullet and head to Best Buy to buy a new TV. May of 2019 we went shopping and they had the new TCL 55" 55s405 4K so we thought why not, as we only paid $350 on the other one as it was during Black Friday and we never write off anything without giving it a second shot. So we bought another TCL. Jump forward to today exactly around the same time frame as before, 1 year and a couple of months and came home from work and this TV has the exact same problem. Black screen with sound. After researching even more we noticed this is SUPER common with TCL brand TV's. The LED's are faulty. So here we are using our 32" Samsung until we can afford another TV. Will not buy TCL again. Would strongly advise avoiding this brand. I know it's tempting because at the price range for a smart TV with a large screen they seem cheap but in just over a year you will have a 300-500$ 55"-60" paperweight.

Wanted something reasonably priced with good quality. This is exactly what we wanted for our outdoor movies.

We have had the t.v. for almost 10 days and I love its features. Roku is the best with so many different channels and all choices. Its great!
