Great VR Experience on the Cheap
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great VR Headset on the Cheap way better than the Google Cardboard and Cheaper than the Samsung VR, what i think makes this product stand is the well tough layout (triple Head Band, Perforated Leatherette, Adjustable Spacing for the Eyes, Opening for the Camera, Opening for Headphone and Charger, and sufficient space for big phones). This works using the Google Cardboard Apps, some do rival the Oculus and HTC Vive (except when interacting that is where this falls short) this also depending on your phone, that is a big consideration, Using a Note 4 the screen is clear and the Performance is Acceptable The Achilles heel of this is the controller, it looks ok, but it leaves a lot to be desired, first the mode that it boots in doesn't work for VR apps, it has to be changed to the Pointer mode first and the Pointer is always visible (even if you put it to the corner it can still be seen), other than the controller this is great (use a Moga Controller instead and save 5 bucks)

Pretty OK for beginners to VR
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works as should, though you can see part of the inside and can't adjust where the eye locations are. However, you can move the phone around very well. I spent 20m trying to put a battery into the remote, because the spring was poorly positioned.

Alright for the price.

Cheaply build
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought it for $3, thats what it’s worth, Cheaply constructed. The components were falling apart right from the box. Would be a toy for a kid to ply with.

Very inexpensive no frills VR headset
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I always wanted to try the VR headset, but never wanted to drop a huge amount of money on them - 40, 50 bucks - certainly not hundreds of dollars. Seeing this was on clearance for on $2.99 last week, why not. This is very much a no frills beginner VR headset, which is fine. And if it breaks, well for the price it won't hurt that bad. But as for quality - at least with this particular device I picked up - feels like "you get what you paid for." Basic focus wheel, another dial to widen the lens to match your eyes. It does come with a controller that pairs via bluetooth to your phone. My iPhone XS Max WILL fit the headset, barely. It's a bit of a challenge to squeeze it in without triggering the On/Off screen of the iPhone, activating Siri, or the volume buttons on the side. With a case on, no it simply won't fit, even an Apple leather case - so the case needs to come off. A concern for me personally also, when using this iPhone model and the hard, kind of cheap feeling plastic clamps to hold the phone in place...a fear of scratching your iPhone sides is real. I personally didn't want to risk that so I added some tiny pieces of foam to those VR clamps inside. Adjusting the dials for focus, again for the line of eyesight - again this may have been THIS particular model - it felt like these dials are ready to break off the device itself. I saw some reviews about that you can wear glasses with these, no you can't. So removing them and with myself having really terrible eyesight, I was still able to focus and see clearly through this headset. The head strap is adjustable, so this is a plus! Now once you get it set up, How to watch VR. I was manly messing around with VR on YouTube (Just type in VR in the search) Roller coasters, skydiving, VR tours of different countries, even space launches as if YOU were the astronaut. Since this was the first time I experienced VR,I found these videos just wild and fun. But after a few minutes feeling a little queasy, dizzy - that is to be expected I think. There are other apps you can download for free, Google Cardboard, from here you can sync up the Utopia model headset by using the phones camera to scan the QR code. More apps will be available though here. Plenty of other free VR apps via IOS and Android stores. One app may of us have on our devices is "Google Maps / Google Street View." This has a VR option built in. Once clicked, now you can feel you are literally on almost any street on the planet and look around - gives a sense that you are actually there. I even tried an online VR video converter - Too 10, 15 seconds of The Avengers as a "test" to see how this would look in the headset. That is a cool experience, it's almost like sitting in an iMax theater and your 10 ft away from the screen! The file size does become very large though thought this processing, it becomes a "dual stereoptic screen," and the small clip pushed to almost 900mb, way, way up from 120MB The front (where the Utopia 360 logo is) has a slide to open to expose the phone camera - then to experience AR (Augmented Reality) content. This may work on certain phones - especially a single lens phone, it would not work on my XS Max, the camera lens just did not line up with the "cutout." The one big downfall I did notice with these apps, videos is it really takes a toll on your phones battery. Even heats the phone up since I guess it uses a lot more processing power. I can't even imagine watching a full 2 hour movie on this because A)battery life, a "hot" phone and B) I think one may get a major headache and disorientation after a while wearing this. My personal advice, use these in sort periods of time. The controller, even though this paired up with my iPhone with no problem, it just didnt seem to do anything with any app (there is a IOS and ANDROID switch on the side, even with IOS selected, I still could not get it working on a few games I downloaded.) Possible a settings issue and something I have to mess around with some more. So like i said its a basic "starter" headset. And for the price of 2-3 bucks...it was worth it to see what the VR was all about. Don't expect all the fancy functions like you see from the more expensive Gear, Oculus, the Hive. Utopia360 - for the very low price Best Buy has this for - it's cool for viewing, exploring some very interesting VR content without blowing away your bank account.

It's just okay
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We actually ended up returning this because the functionality is minimal. It comes with a remote which is nice, but the remote only works with very few games that you can download, rendering it almost useless unless the game you happen to download uses the movement of your head to achieve game play, most of which were boring or pointless. May be fun for small children, but most likely they would get bored with it after several hours or days. Our iPhone 6's fit in this with ease, without the cases of course. Please keep in mind this review is based off of iOS usage, and the experience with android may vary, though it plainly states the entire device works with both.

Not equal to samsungs VR yet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not equal to samsungs VR yet. It's an ok device for kids say 10 and under they will probably love it, just don't let them see the difference with samsungs VR device. It's an ok device I would give it a 3 out of 5 it's very comfortable, it has some ok apps that are free to download a few a little glitchy though. I even paid for one app and that wasn't so bad , just lost my attention after about 45 min. I believe that's the real issue the apps to view that are not up to that of the Samsung VR viewing apps. I figure 3-6 months this product will be worth investing in even now for $30 bucks or the one for $20 without the game remote is not a bad price for what it gives you ...a little entertainment ,a look into the future of games, tv shows, movies, ppl interaction and even more, future tech is coming it seems.

Q: QuestionSo this is a dumb question but my 9 year old wanted a virtual reality device and i want to get the right thing so this virtual reality device is the only thing i need to attach to phone to make it work or is this half of what i need
Asked by Dee.
- A:Answer Basic answer: That's all you need. But I do have to say this, unless you have a newer, name brand smart phone(an iPhone 7 and up, or a newer Samsung should do it) I really wouldn't recommend you buy this headset. See I have a cheap Samsung and you can clearly see the pixels when using it. Trust me it will be unenjoyable if you can see pixels. I have never tried any games. The games would need to be downloaded and the controller synced to the phone. Also there is no wired connection and it may be painstaking to add headphones. All in all I think your child would like this product if he is newer to technology. This was my first VR headset and I have to admit for twice the money I could have had a better experience.

Asked by Coolb9.
- A:Answer I am using it with an Iphone 8 no problem. The SE appears to be a bit smaller, but in using the headset, it should have no problem. There is a cradle that expands or contracts to hold the smartphone. and yes, my boys and I love using it for VR videos and some games

Q: QuestionGot this today. The button doesn't work on my iPhone 6s even though other headsets work fine. It's almost like it doesn't make good contact. No case or screen protector on my phone
Asked by R5Ryder.
- A:Answer I have an iPhone 6. Mine was the same way, then I started leaving my phone in it’s case before I put it in the headset. Now the button works. I guess the phone just needed to be a little closer to the button. If your case doesn’t fit in, maybe you could put something thin behind the phone, like cardboard?
