It is also nice to see Microsoft coming out with a good product that focuses on functionality rather than copying someone else's ideas, especially after such a mess with Vista which was a failed attempt to copy the Mac OS, a redesign of Microsoft Office which seemed to confuse most people, and the recent launch of Bing Travel which is just a ripoff of Kayak.com.

These are an older model headphones and may be discontinued soon (if not already) since newer, more expensive Sennheiser headphones are now available. These are not really "professional" headphones, more of high-end consumer headphones. This unit does not have battery operated noise cancelling feature that some less expensive headphones have, but they isolate the sound so well, noise-cancelling is not a feature needed on these. Since they are bulky, these headphones are designed for use mainly while seated, and definitely not for use while walking. They do work very well on airplanes and buses, if you have a bag to store them in. They can fit inside a laptop bag or carry-on bag (folded flat or tucked), and comfortably isolate sound better than most other headphones we tried on a plane without having to raise the sound volume.
